Do I need to bring my own golf clubs?

We recommend bringing your own clubs for the best experience, as you'll be most comfortable with your own equipment. However, if you're flying in and don't want to transport clubs, we can arrange club rentals. Just let us know in advance.

What skill level do I need to be?

The Murray River Golf Retreat welcomes golfers of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, Wade tailors his coaching to your ability and goals. Most participants range from 10-25 handicap, but we've had everyone from complete beginners to single-digit handicappers enjoy the experience.

Can I bring a non-golfing partner?

Absolutely! While the tour is designed around golf, non-golfing partners are welcome and will enjoy the luxury houseboat amenities, wine tastings, gourmet dining, and scenic Murray River cruising. They can also join for meals and evening activities.

What’s included in the price?

Your retreat includes accommodation, golf rounds, private coaching, gourmet meals, wine tastings, and transfers.

How do I get there?

Mildura Airport (MQL) has direct flights from:

Melbourne: 1 hour (daily flights)

Adelaide: 1 hour (regular flights)

Sydney: 2 hours (via Melbourne)

We provide private stretch limo transfers from the airport to the marina, so once you land, everything is taken care of.

Alternatively, Mildura is a scenic 6-hour drive from Melbourne or 4-hour drive from Adelaide.

What's the best time of year to visit?

The Murray River region offers excellent golfing conditions year-round, but the most popular times are:

Autumn (Mar-May): Perfect temperatures, wine harvest season

Spring (Sep-Nov): Mild weather, stunning course conditions

We avoid peak winter (June-August) due to cooler temperatures.

What if bad weather affects golf?

The Murray River region enjoys over 300 days of sunshine annually, so significant weather disruptions are rare. If weather does impact a round, we have contingency plans in place. Your investment is protected.

Is travel insurance required?

While not mandatory, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and lost belongings. This protects your investment if unexpected circumstances arise.
